(ANDERSON) - A jury trial was scheduled to start Tuesday for a teenager accused of raping a 93-year-old woman in her Anderson home.
Iquise Taylor faces burglary, criminal deviate conduct and other charges for the attack last July. His trial was initially set to begin late last year, but Taylor was getting treatment in a state psychiatric facility after he was found incompetent to stand trial.
Investigators said the teen broke into the elderly woman's home then sexually assaulted her. The victim was sleeping at the time and woke up to find Taylor in her bedroom.
