Hoosiers Reflect On 'Super Outbreak' Of 1974

(UNDATED) - The ‘Super Outbreak’ of tornadoes hit on this day—40 years ago.

Scores of twisters spun across the Midwest including 20 in Indiana and 26 in Kentucky.

Storms destroyed about 2,100 homes in several Indiana communities.

In all, 49 people died and 768 were hurt in the state.
