Fire Officials Save Dog From Water

Last updated on Monday, April 14, 2014

(INDIANAPOLIS) - What started out as an evening walk between a man and his dog turned into an animal water rescue for Indianapolis fire officials.

Adam -a five-year-old Boxer-Chow mix- decided to go for a swim and couldn't find his way back to shore. His owner said it was not unusual for his dog to take a little dip.

This time however, Adam swam to the middle island under the bridge, about 50 feet from shore and couldn't get back.

A rescue boat was finally deployed to rescue Adam from his water adventure.
