Criminal Charges Were Possible Before IMPD Officer Killed Wife

Last updated on Tuesday, April 22, 2014

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The prosecutor for Marion County, Terry Curry, says he was close to filing stalking charges against IMPD Sergeant Ryan Anders, but was too late.

Police think Anders shot and killed his ex-wife, Officer Kim Carmack, and though despite the couple's troubled past, Curry says he needed an airtight case.

He says they had most of that information ready for filing last Thursday, when the shooting took place, but Curry says they still had to tie up some "loose ends."
