Two Teens Killed In Boone Co. Crash

(LEBANON) - The Boone County Sheriff’s department are investigating an accident that killed two teens from Boone County on Sunday morning.

The victims have been identified as 18-year-olds Jacob Shockley of Advance and Richard Penny Jr. of Lebanon.

Boone County 911 dispatch received a call just after 8 a.m. Sunday from a motorist who discovered the accident. Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene and found both victims still in the vehicle were dead.

The Honda Civic was going westbound on County Road 800 North in the 1600 block of West when it went off the road and struck a tree. Area residents say they heard a noise around 1 a.m. but no one saw the car or crash.

Deputy's are still investigating the accident and have not determined the speed of the car at the time of the accident. Drug and alcohol toxicology results are pending.
