(LAFAYETTE) - Lafayette Police say two juveniles attacked and robbed a man Friday evening.

Police responded to a report of a robbery near Erie and Vinton Streets around 8:54 p.m.

A male victim told police that two males attacked him and took his wallet while he was walking along the Street. The males ran southbound on foot for a short distance before getting into a waiting vehicle and fleeing the area. Officers found the vehicle a short time later.

Two juveniles were arrested for robbery resulting in bodily injury. The victim suffered injuries that were not life threatening and refused medical treatment on the scene.

Due to the ages of the two male suspects arrested, their names have been withheld.

The wallet was later recovered.

The two males did not display any weapons during the robbery
