(LAPORTE) - Police in LaPorte County are asking a County Councilman to resign after he posted a rant on Facebook.
County Councilman Matt Bernacchi received a speeding ticket and wrote that the police should be out looking for real criminals,'' as he put it.
Matt Bernacchi was ticketed by a La Porte County sheriff's deputy for traveling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone on State Road 2.
