Body Found In White River

Last updated on Monday, March 10, 2014

(INDIANAPOLIS) - An investigation continues after a body was found in the White River. The discovery came late Friday night in the 4400 block of West Southport Road.

Police say there are no signs of trauma, but are waiting the results of an autopsy.

It's a development a Decatur Township family says they've feared.

Kevin Grover says his 15-year-old son Matthew Grover has been missing since December. Kevin says Matthew ran away after an argument just before Christmas, never to be seen or heard from again.

"There have been no leads on Matt, nobody's heard from him, friends haven't heard from him, the Facebook buddies haven't," Kevin Grover said Saturday.

That all changed late Friday night; Kevin Grover said crews found Matthew's decomposed body in the White River not far from his home.

As if the loss of a son isn't enough, Kevin has another son that's missing.

"Brandon [Grover] disappeared from school, he threatened a teacher and they said he ran out of school," Kevin Grover explained.

A police report says 14-year-old Brandon Grover ran away on February 18th. His dad says Brandon has had discipline and substance abuse problems in the past.

He describes Brandon as 6 feet tall, 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes; a high school freshman who loves games like "Magic The Gathering"

Anyone with information on Brandon Grover's location should call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.
