(STATEHOUSE) - The legislative session is over, but the fate of some bills is still undetermined.
Although the session ended Thursday, it takes a few days to formally deliver bills to Governor Pence. Each bill becomes law eight days after he receives it, unless he vetoes it.
Pence says he hasn't made definite decisions to veto anything, but says there are some he's considering.
The governor has said before he has "an open mind" on a central Indiana transit referendum, though he says the bill reaching him is better than some earlier versions. He says he's glad legislators backed off a proposed local corporate income tax to finance the plan, and appreciates the "clarification" of a ban on light rail.
The Sierra Club has launched an ad campaign urging Pence to veto a bill suspending an energy efficiency program. Pence says he supports conservation efforts, but says Indiana electricity costs have been creeping upward, and says he'll have to weigh the pros and cons.
Pence has signed 17 bills so far, but the vast majority have yet to reach his desk.
