Last updated on Monday, February 3, 2014

(VINCENNES) - Indiana State Police arrested a Vincennes woman Saturday morning for Driving under the Influence of Methamphetamine following an accident on US 41 near Decker in Knox County.

40-year-old Brandy Parker; her boyfriend, 40-year-old Hurley Manning of Vincennes; and Parker's three and four-year-old granddaughters were injured.

All were treated at Good Samaritan Hospital and released.

Police say Parker over-corrected when she drove into the median and the vehicle swerved back across both lanes into a sign and earthen embankment.

Police say Parker's granddaughters were in the back seat buckled up with only a lap belt.

In addition to Driving under the Influence of Methamphetamine, Parker was also arrested for Driving While Suspended and was cited for a child restraint violation.

She was booked into the Knox County Jail on $5,000 bond.
