(GIBSON CO.) - A trial date has been set for a Gibson County man accused of murder.
Austin Blaize is accused of the January 2013 murder of Terry Monier, the father of his ex-girlfriend, at Monier's Fort Branch home.
According to the prosecution, a plea deal was offered to Blaize but it was rejected.
A date for trial by jury was set for August 18.
Only one of two court-ordered psychological evaluations on Blaize is complete, but the prosecution says it wanted to go ahead with setting a trial date.
Austin Blaize is facing life in prison with no chance of parole.
