Last updated on Wednesday, February 12, 2014

(FRANKFORT) - A Frankfort Police officer is accused of stealing money while driving a department vehicle.

48-year-old Randy Emery was arrested at his home Tuesday on a felony theft charge.

State Police said Emery was transporting money in his squad car while he was off duty as part of a part-time job. He was allegedly responsible for transporting cash from the Good Oil Company station to a local bank.

Detectives think Emery could be responsible for stealing more than $147,000 dollars from the company since last summer.
