This Month Is Third Snowiest January On Record

Last updated on Tuesday, January 21, 2014

(UNDATED) - This month is already the third snowiest January on record in Indiana. National Weather Service Meteorologist Chad Swain says there’s still time for it to be the second snowiest.

Swain says more snow moved in across the state Monday night. He says we could see about two inches.

Swain says the northern part of the state is seeing lake effect snow. Then, on Tuesday, frigid cold from the north will move in.

Swain says temperatures will remain in the teens Tuesday and drop to *below zero* Tuesday night. He says daytime temperatures for the next few days will remain in the teens and continue to hover around zero during the overnight hours. He says it'll be warmer in southern Indiana, but not much.
