(NEW ALBANY) - A southern Indiana man was arrested Saturday for impersonating a police officer.
According to Indiana State Police, John Brock, 42, was driving a gold 2003 Ford Crown Victoria when he tried to make a traffic stop by motioning a driver to pull over. Little did Brock know, the man was an off-duty state police sergeant and the real officer said Brock flashed a gold colored badge at him while yelling curse words and threats.
Brock then drove off, parking his car and entered a store. Around noon, Brock was stopped by a trooper and arrested. He is being charged for operating vehicle while intoxicated, driving on a suspended license and impersonating a police officer.
Indiana State Police is asking anyone who thinks they were stopped by John Brock impersonating a police officer to contact police at 1-800-872-6743.
