Last updated on Tuesday, January 7, 2014

(INDIANAPOLIS) - New legislation will hit the floor of the U.S. House this week.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the House will consider several bills, including legislation to remove requirements for car dealers to issue emissions standards certificates for light-duty vehicles (a requirement no longer enforced by the EPA); legislation to reauthorize programs to support poison control centers; and legislation to eliminate requirements that the EPA review financial responsibility rules at superfund sites every three years, instead allowing the EPA to conduct reviews whenever they deem it appropriate.

· On Friday, the House will vote on H.R. 3362, the Exchange Information Disclosure Act, a bill that would require HHS to issue weekly reports on enrollment figures for Healthcare.gov, including information about the number of site visits and error rates.

· On Friday, the House will vote on the Health Exchange Security and Transparency Act of 2014, a bill that would address concerns about the safety of personal information on the online Obamacare exchanges by requiring HHS to notify individuals if their personal information has been compromised within two business days of any security breach.

Committee hearings Rep. Young will be participating in this week
· There are currently no scheduled hearings of the full Ways and Means Committee, or for any of Rep. Young's subcommittees.

Washington events Rep. Young will be paying attention to this week in Washington
· We'll be looking for details to emerge soon on an omnibus spending bill at the budget levels agreed to last month in the deal between Rep. Paul Ryan and Sen. Patty Murray, as well as a possible deal on a Farm Bill.
