(WEST LAFAYETTE) - It was like losing a family member. That reaction from Purdue University President Mitch Daniels on the death of student Andrew Boldt.

Daniels is back on campus after cutting a business trip short in South America after learning of the shooting on campus this week. Daniels says Boldt was "a remarkable young man" and it's a terrible loss.

Police say Bodlt was shot in a basement classroom of the school's Electrical Engineering Building just after noon on Tuesday.

The suspect- 23-year-old Cody Cousins will make his initial appearance today before a judge at the Tippecanoe County Jail courtroom.
