Colorado Brewer Sends Beer, Note To Manning After Bud Light Request

Last updated on Thursday, January 16, 2014

(DENVER) - A Colorado brewer is hoping to convince Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning to change his choice of beers.

Sunday, after the Broncos held on to beat the San Diego Chargers, Manning was asked if his upcoming neck exam in March was weighing on his mind.

Manning's response?

"It's really not," Manning said. "What's weighing on my mind is how soon I can get a Bud Light in my mouth. That's priority number one. It was an intense game and up and down and a lot of emotions."

Monday, the Left Hand Brewing Company tweeted a photo of a letter they wrote Manning and the Broncos:

To: Peyton Manning & The Denver Broncos Team
From: LEFT HAND BREWING CO.
Re: Omaha

Mr. Manning,

Just like you, we decided to call an audible and change the play at the line to provide you with some Colorado craft beer from Left Hand Brewery. We feel it's a better play call.

We'll be cheering you on against the Patriots!

Go Broncos!

Cheers,
The Crew @ Left Hand Brewing Co.
Longmont, Co.

According to the Denver Post, the brewery sent the note, along with three cases of beer to Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
