Terre Haute Man To Serve 11 Years In Prison For Child Exploitation

Last updated on Thursday, December 12, 2013

(TERRE HAUTE) - One Terre Haute man charged child exploitation will spend more than a decade in prison.

US Attorney Joe Hogsett held a press conference Wednesday saying 26-year-old Emery Norto will spend 11-years in federal prison.

He was arrested at his home on 17th Street in Terre Haute.

Agents found ten's-of-thousands of images on his two computers.

Investigators believe Norton used a file sharing network to get the images.

"And he has been ordered to pay 3,000 in restitution to 3 victims who were identified as being depicted in the materials he received, now, so that I am clear, these are not children here in the Terre Haute area," Hogsett said.

Hogsett says this is all part of a Community Watch Program.

Since starting the program crimes like Norton's have tapered off.
