(ELKHART ) - A Hoosier solider is among those killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan.
U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Jesse Williams of Elkhart was one of six servicemen killed Tuesday when a his Blackhawk went down.
William's mother told an Elkhart newspaper her son was involved.
Military officials say the crash was under investigation and there was no combat in the area.
According to the website casualties.org, that brings the number of coalition fatalities to 162, 115 are American.
