Groom Killed While Helping Stranded Motorist

(CROWN POINT) - A new groom and a Hobart woman were killed after they were hit by by several cars over the weekend.

Police say 49-year-old William Knight pulled over Saturday to assist 42-year-old Linda Darlington with her disabled vehicle in Crown Point.

Darlington and Knight were standing by the side of the road when they were hit by three vehicles. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Knight's wife, Nikki, was waiting in the car at the time.

The Knights' wedding ceremony took place earlier that evening.

No arrests were made. However, the crash remains under investigation.
