Truck Plows Through Mooresville Home

(MOORESVILLE) - A sleeping family and sleepy truck driver escaped unharmed when the truck crashed through the family’s living room early Tuesday morning.

Morgan County authorities say the driver fell asleep and drove his truck into the house in the 4300 block of Allison Road, northeast of Mooresville. The bedroom was six feet away from where the truck drove through the house.

The house is not inhabitable, according to fire crews on the scene. Emergency crews said it was were fortunate the truck stayed on the main floor of the house and did not fall through to the basement.

Police administered a field sobriety test to the truck driver, but those results are not available.
