(OLDENBURG) - A T.I.P. call initiated by a concerned citizen resulted in a Batesville man facing multiple deer related charges.

Conservation Officers have completed their investigation which began on November 14th.

The case is being presented to the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office for review.

Charges are pending on David J. Grieshop, 45, of Batesville, who is alleged to be complicit in the illegal possession of at least 8 antlered deer. Each offense is a Class B misdemeanor.

The investigation also yielded information that could lead to Grieshop also facing a Class A misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

18 separate violations are attributed to Grieshop and a minor found to have been actively involved in illegal hunting activities.

Indiana Conservation Officers wish to remind the citizenry to call the 'TIP line' if they see or have knowledge of poaching or polluting: call 1-800-TIP-IDNR (1-800-847-4367). Callers may remain anonymous and may be entitled to a reward.
