Investigation Leads To Arrest Of Two In Sullivan County

(SULLIVAN) - Two arrests were made in Sullivan County Wednesday after a joint investigation between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Indiana State Police.

Around 5 a.m., local, state and federal officers searched the homes of Elmer Seeley, 50 of 11132 North County Road 400 East in Farmersburg and John Abolt, 34 of 4728 East County Road 1100 North in Farmersburg.

Both men were taken into custody without incident and are at the Sullivan County Jail.

Seeley is facing possible charges of possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon as well as receiving stolen property. He is also alleged to have been in possession of and also sold a 9 millimeter handgun during an undercover investigation in May of 2012.

Abolt is facing possible charges of dealing in methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine. Abolt is also alleged to have possessed and then sold approximately 25.6 grams of methamphetamine during an undercover investigation in September of 2012.
