(INDIANAPOLIS) - Page after page of firearms, semi-automatics, hand guns and rifles are available in the upcoming showcase at Earl’s Auction House.
Gun Shop Owner Don Davis says among this collection are only a few guns of much value.
"Some of the revolvers will be the hot merchandise. If you go to the auction, that'll be the ones that will sell," Davis said.
Some, he says, will go for around $250-300.
This was the first peek at the arsenal that belonged to the late Gary Roberts.
On Sept. 27th, police say Gary's wife of 31 years, Elizabeth Roberts, shot and killed Gary after he was acting irrational and dangerous, he'd been drinking and was threatening to kill police if they showed up at the house. She was not charged with his death.
Police originally valued the entire collection at about $1 million. It sounds as if Davis has his doubts about that, but he says the collection is certainly worth thousands and thousands of dollars.
Elizabeth had been working with Earl's Auction House to put the guns on the market. On Nov. 2nd, police found her dead in her Greenfield apartment.. They believe she died of an overdose.
Earl's will auction off the items at 11 a.m. Dec. 1, at 5199 Lafayette Road. Anyone who buys a gun at the auction have to go through a background check.
