(KNOX CO.) - A Vincennes, Ind. man was arrested after police said he was under the influence of several drugs while operating a moped with his juvenile son aboard.

Karl Tislow, 46, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated with a passenger younger than 18, a Class D felony.

Around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, police said a trooper saw Tislow disregard a stop sign at the intersection of Chestnut and St. Clair avenues. The trooper immediately initiated a traffic stop and observed Tislow's 11-year-old was the passenger.

Authorities said Tislow could barely stay awake after he was pulled over. Additionally, it was noted Tislow's speed was slurred and he was unsteady on his feet. Further investigation revealed he was under the influence of benzodiazepines, marijuana and opiates.
