Terre Haute Woman Arrested For OWI, Tested More Than 5 Times Legal Limit

(VIGO COUNTY) - A 42-year-old Terre Haute woman was arrested Sunday for causing a three-vehicle crash in Vigo County.

Police arrested Janeen L. Sackett. The crash occurred around 6:00 pm on State Road 46 near Old Riley Road.

According to officers, Sackett drove her Kia van into a Chevy pickup truck that was stopped and waiting to make a left turn into the Maryland Community Chuch parking lot. The impact pushed the truck into the rear of a Dodge Neon also waiting to make a turn.

Police say Sackett appeared intoxicated and tried to walk away from the crash until an officer detained her. She tested at .39% BAL.

No one was injured in the crash.

Sackett was arrested and taken to the Vigo County Jail. She faces numerous charges, including operating while intoxicated with a prior conviction, D felony; driving while suspended, prior (misdemeanor); operating while intoxicated-endangering, (misdemeanor), and aggressive driving (Misdemeanor).
