Police Looking For Man Connected To Fatal House Fire

Last updated on Thursday, October 17, 2013

(CLARKSVILLE) - Police in southern Indiana say investigators are seeking a man in connection with a house fire last week that killed two men.

Clarksville Police Chief Mark Palmer says the man being sought had been living at the house which caught fire about 5:30 a.m. Oct. 9. Palmer tells The Courier-Journal that federal immigration officials believe the man might be using an alias.

Fire Chief Tom Upton said the blaze apparently started in a kitchen or bedroom of the house in the town just north of Louisville.

Authorities haven't yet released the names of those killed, saying they've been unable to notify relatives.

Landlord Tony Henson says the men killed were quiet and hardworking and that he didn't know the third man was living at the house.
