(INDIANAPOLIS) - Emergency crews responded to an accident Tuesday morning at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The Speedway Police Department confirmed that one construction worker was injured in an accident of some kind, but officers do not expect it to be a fatality.
Police said the incident happened Tuesday morning between turns No.2 and 3 of the speedway course, involving a member of a paving crew.
Officers said the man sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the accident, and was taken to IU Methodist Hospital.
