Alcoholic Beverage Sales Can Continue Until 3 a.m. Sunday

Last updated on Wednesday, October 30, 2013

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission announced today that alcoholic beverage sales may continue until 3 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013.

Because daylight saving time changes clocks to 1 a.m. at 2 a.m. on Nov. 3, alcoholic beverage outlets will have one additional hour during which they may serve or sell alcoholic beverages on this date. Pursuant to Indiana law, they must still cease sales at 3 a.m.

Daylight saving time is currently observed by more than 1.6 billion people in 78 countries. Indiana has observed daylight saving time since April 2, 2006.
