Last updated on Saturday, September 14, 2013

(JOHNSON CO.) - A man was caught driving on a suspended driver’s license as he was leaving the courthouse after answering prior charges of driving on a suspended license.

Johnson County Sheriff's Deputies said they spotted Dustin Lohman leave the courthouse on Thursday after appearing in court where he was told by a judge that he could not drive because his license was suspended.

When police stopped Lohman at Jefferson and East Court streets in Franklin, he told police he did not have any other way to get to court and that he knew he should not have been driving.

According to the police report, Lohman asked the officer to "cut him a break" and let him go.

Lohman was taken into custody at the Johnson County Jail. His license remains suspended indefinitely.
