Hunter Education Classes Offered Throughout Northwest Indiana

(UNDATED) - Indiana Conservation Officers are offering several Hunter Education Classes throughout Northwest Indiana in preparation for the upcoming hunting seasons.

Indiana Hunter Education Certification is required for all hunters born after Dec. 31, 1986. Participants will learn basic firearms safety, treestand safety, and conservation ethics.

Students are required to preregister for the course prior to attending by visiting www.indianahuntereducation.com.

Upcoming classes and locations include:

  • Sept. 28 - Portage
  • Sept. 30, Oct. 1 & 3- LaPorte
  • Oct. 5 - Lake Village
  • Oct. 5 & 6 - North Judson
  • Oct. 11 - Morocco
  • Oct. 12 - Cedar Lake
  • Oct. 19 - Michigan City
  • Oct. 19 & 20 - Hammond
  • Nov. 9 - Michigan City
