(FISHERS) - An Indiana State Police trooper went back to work after being brushed by a vehicle on I-69 in Hamilton County Wednesday night.

The accident happened shortly before 10 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the interstate, just south of 116th Street (204 mile marker). Police say Trooper Nick Klinghammer was moving construction barrels in a work zone when a vehicle struck him in the shin.

Klinghammer was checked by medics on the scene and returned to work.
