(TERRE HAUTE) - Vigo County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a robbery that happened just after 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Old National Bank on south US 41.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 40 to 50 years old, 5'6" - 5'8" tall, between 140 - 160 pounds wearing blue jeans, gray t-shirt, tan ball cap and dark sunglasses.

Officials report the suspect entered the bank carrying what was described as a small silver handgun and demanded money.

After bank staff cooperated with the suspect's demands, he fled through the back door with an undisclosed amount of money.

At the time of the robbery there were several customers inside the bank, including a small child. No injuries were reported.

Officials and K-9 units searched the area but did not locate the suspect. Officials believe the suspect could have been marked with an exploding dye pack and would be marked with red dye.
