Online Chat Leads To Arrest Of Three Teens For School Vandalism

Last updated on Friday, August 9, 2013

(CENTER GROVE) - Three Center Grove teens were arrested for vandalism after chatter on social media sites resulted in an anonymous tip.

The Daily Journal reports that police had been looking for two teens seen on a surveillance video climbing onto the roof of Center Grove High School early Monday morning. Pictures and words were painted in the school's Hall of Excellence.

Officials say students talked about the incident on social media sites, which later lead police to find the three suspects.

Police arrested 19-year-old Geoffrey F. Jones, 18-year-old Connor B. Irish and Jeffrey S. Workman Tuesday. The three are graduates of the high school.
