One Dead, Two Hurt In Van-Train Collision

(FORT BRANCH) - One person has died and two others have been hurt after a minivan collided with a CSX freight train in Fort Branch.

The Gibson County Sheriff's Department says the collision occurred south of Princeton on a county road about 9:30 a.m. CDT.

Sgt. Bruce Vanoven says everyone who was hurt was in the minivan.

He says the two injured were taken to an Evansville hospital, where one was released after being treatment.

Names have not been released yet.

Vanoven says the crossing is marked with a warning sign but has no lights or crossing arms. It's located about 20 miles north of Evansville, between Princeton and the town of Fort Branch.

CSX has not commented on the crash
