Last updated on Tuesday, August 6, 2013

(LAWRENCE) - Lawrence Police are investigating a man’s death at the Pendleton Pike Motel 6.

Police were called to the motel on Saturday after a housekeeper found 45-year-old Jay Presser of Lapel dead inside a room.

Detectives are looking for a woman who may have been the last person to see him alive. She's described as Caucasian, blonde, driving a red or maroon Ford Explorer with the front driver's side window missing and covered with plastic.

Motel staff tell police the man and woman checked in together. The woman left at around 6:00 pm carrying something, which she placed under the seat inside the Explorer.

Anyone who recognizes the woman or the vehicle is asked to contact Lawrence Police at 317-542-4535.
