(EVANSVILLE) - An Evansville man is arrested on attempted murder charges after nearly running over two police officers.
Officials say 55-year-old Robin Eugene Montgomery fled from the scene of a reported meth lab on Theater Drive Sunday night.
They say Montgomery intentionally swerved and accelerated in an attempt to run over two officers trying to stop him from escaping.
He was arrested shortly after and transported to the Vanderburgh County Jail.
He faces two counts of attempted murder, manufacturing meth and resisting law enforcement.
