Autopsy Confirms LaPorte Man Died From Blunt Force Trauma

Last updated on Friday, August 9, 2013

(PORTAGE) - An autopsy shows a LaPorte man whose body was found along a northern Indiana interstate highway had died of blunt force trauma.

Indiana State Police say an autopsy Wednesday revealed the cause of death for 50-year-old Ricky L. Kimble.

Police say a highway mowing crew found Kimble's body Tuesday in a grassy area along one of Interstate 94's Portage exits.

Kimble was last seen Saturday and was reported missing by his family.

State Police are asking anyone who may have been Kimble between Saturday and Tuesday to contact them. Kimble was a black male with a shaved head and he was wearing brown shorts, a white tank top and was carrying a black backpack.
