Last updated on Monday, August 12, 2013

(LEESBURG) - A toddler has died a day after being pulled from a northern Indiana lake.

Indiana conservation officers say 2-year-old Tucker Farmer of Marion died Sunday afternoon at Fort Wayne's Lutheran Hospital.

They say the boy had been airlifted there Saturday evening from Kuhn Lake, about 40 miles northwest of Fort Wayne.

Officers say the child was missing for only a few minutes before family members found him face down in the water and not breathing.

They say an autopsy will be performed by the Allen County Coroner's Office to determine the boy's cause of death.

Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department and North Webster Fire/EMS assisted.
