(TERRE HAUTE) - An early Saturday morning robbery and high speed chase has left the Vigo County Sheriff's Department searching for a male suspect.

Officials responded to Bogey's Family Fun Center at 4:30 a.m. Saturday in regards to the alarm being set off.

When they arrived on the scene, officials report that a silver minivan was speeding out of the parking lot onto Union Road. Officials pursued the vehicle south on State Road 63 at excess speeds of 95 mph.

Just south of Farmers Drive, the driver of the van lost control of the vehicle, struck a telephone pole, and rolled several times before coming to a stop. The suspect then fled on foot.

The Terre Haute Police Department sent out a K-9 Unit and they are still currently searching for the suspect. Officials processed the scene at Bogey's and have confirmed a burglary occurred.

Anyone with information should call the Vigo County Sheriff's Department at (812) 462-3226.
