(INDIANAPOLIS) - US District Judge Sarah Evans Barker has accepted a guilty plea from former Marion County Deputy Prosecutor David Wyser—who has agreed to tell federal prosecutors what he may know about suspected corruption in the office of former Prosecutor Carl Brizzi.
The deal calls for Wyser to get a reduced sentence. But Judge Barker is not bound by that recommendation.
Wyser acknowledges accepting a $2,500 dollar campaign contribution in return for reducing the sentence of a convicted killer.
