One Person Injured During Police Shooting In Noblesville

(NOBLESVILLE) - One person was injured during a police action shooting in Noblesville late Saturday night, officials said.

The incident happened near Riverview Hospital in the 300 block of Westfield Road at 9:30 p.m., Lt. Bruce Barnes with the Noblesville Police Department confirmed.

Police found the suicidal 27-year-old male suspect in the parking lot, officials said.

The suspect disobeyed verbal commands of police. Police shot the suspect twice after they perceived a threat from the suspect, officials said.

The person was transported to Methodist Hospital and their condition was not known.

No police officers were injured in the incident, Barnes said

The criminal investigation is ongoing.
