Off Duty Deputy Killed In Motorcycle Crash

(UNDATED) - A Grant County Sheriff’s deputy was killed Friday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in Madison County.

RTV6 reports the crash happened on State Road 13 at County Road 1400 North, just north of Elwood, after 3:30.

The off-duty deputy, 49-year-old Michael Andry of Converse, Indiana, and his passenger were traveling south on SR-13 when a northbound pickup truck turned in front of them. Andry's motorcycle struck the truck on the passenger side door.

Andry, his passenger, 48-year-old Amy Weasley, and the driver of the truck, 26-year-old Carey Webber, were all taken to St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood.

Andry was pronounced dead at the hospital. Weasley was airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Webber was treated and released.
