Man Could Face Charges After Fatal Crash

Last updated on Friday, July 5, 2013

(SELLERSBURG) - A Florida man may face charges after he was involved in a fatal crash on State Road 60 last week.

48-year old Craig Elmore died when his vehicle was struck head on by another driver traveling the opposite direction. Police said the driver crossed the center lane, hit Elmore's truck and caused it to flip onto it's roof - Elmore was killed on impact.

Police said the other driver, an 18-year-old from Florida, may have been texting at the time of the crash.
"If someone is texting and it does cause a fatality accident then a determination has to be made as to whether that's a criminal incident or not," Clark County Prosecutor Jeremy Mull said.

Investigators said they will try to obtain cell phone records to verify if texting and driving was the cause of the crash.
