(HOPE) - A Hope man was killed when his tractor overturned while mowing in the 5200 block of Newbern Road in Bartholomew County Monday.
Maj. Todd Noblitt, with the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office, says when deputies arrived around 6:30 p.m., they found 56-year-old John Baute trapped underneath his tractor.
Noblitt says Baute had been mowing a hillside at a 45 degree angle when the accident happened.
Baute was pronounced dead at the scene.
