(NEW ALBANY) - A New Albany father was arrested after his 7-month-old daughter sustained an injury and was rushed to Kosair Children’s Hospital.
According to police, Benjamin Smith is charged with battery and neglect of a dependant after the 7-month-old girl sustained a closed head injury Monday night.
The girl's mother reportedly found her in physican distress at the family home. The girl was rushed to Kosair where she was diagnosed with a head injury.
The girl is in stable condition
