(EVANSVILLE) - Police in Evansville say two people were found dead inside an apartment after a complex worker had gone to the unit checking on tenants who hadn’t been seen recently.
Police Sergeant Jason Cullum tells the Evansville Courier & Press that investigators were working to determine the circumstances of the deaths after the bodies were found Monday at the Delaware Trace Apartments on the city's northeast side.
Authorities didn't immediately release the identities of those found dead, but neighbors say an older married couple lived in the apartment.
Neighbor Tiffany Kemper tells WFIE-TV says the couple's pickup truck hadn't moved for several days and she worried that something wasn't right.
