Two Drivers Crash Into Emergency Vehicles

Last updated on Sunday, June 30, 2013

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two drivers face charges of driving under the influence after each allegedly crashed into two Indiana State Police cars at the side of southbound Interstate 465, near 56th Street on the east side of Indianapolis.

Both patrol cars were demolished.

A trooper was pulling a dead deer off the interstate after the animal was hit by car at that location, when the trooper's patrol was rear-ended.

Frederick Allen, 48, of Muncie was being arrested by a second trooper when that trooper's car was hit by a vehicle driven by Edwardo Frias, 28, of Indianapolis.

Allen and Frias were both treated at Wishard Hospital for minor injuries.
