A state trooper clocked a 2006 Dodge Charger going 74 miles-per-hour in a 55 mph zone along U.S. 40 near County Road 300 East. As the trooper approached the car to speak to the driver, he smelled marijuana.

A search turned up about ten grams of pot and $7,000 in cash. State police said a subsequent test showed that the driver tested positive for marijuana. State police seized the drugs and the cash.

The driver, Renote Hall, 19, Terre Haute, was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing in marijuana, possession of marijuana, operating a vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance and OWI endangerment.

The passenger, Antonio Young, 19, Indianapolis, was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of marijuana.
