Last updated on Tuesday, June 18, 2013

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The 15-year-old arrested in a deadly crime spree with a second teen is in court Monday.

The February crime spree ended when the pair crashed their stolen getaway car during a police chase from Marion to Hendricks County.

Prosecutors say the pair robbed people at gunpoint in different areas of the city on the morning of February 13, 2012.

The 15-year-old's attorney says his client stayed in the car when victim John Yingling was shot in the head in his driveway.

Another victim on Dandy Trail in Indianapolis survived getting shot during the teen's crime spree.

Defense attorney Kenneth Riggins is trying to strike a deal with prosecutors for his 15-year-old client detained until he's 21.

The teenager's co-defendant is awaiting trial in adult court for murder, robbery and other charges.

The juvenile hearing could last a few days.
